GLEIM BATD FLIGHT SIMULATOR
Cost of the simulator use is $25/hr. (by the clock)
Of this $5 goes to McCall Aviation, $20 goes to the McCall Youth Learning Aviation Foundation (a 5013c charity which is tax deductible)
You need to complete orientation from a flight instructor to use the BATD. This is free and takes about 1/2 hour.
You must be a pilot or student pilot to use the BATD. (student pilots need to get a free non-expiring student pilot license through a flight instructor)
You can log time on the BATD to maintain IFR currency.
You can log some time on the BATD towards a private pilot or instrument rating, but this must be done with an instructor.
There is a built in private pilot course in the BATD. This cannot be logged, but will make flight training more efficient, saving at least 10 hours of training in an airplane.
If you are a member of the MYL High Flying Club you will be billed for use as part of your monthly fees.
If you are not a member you should pay at the desk and get a receipt for your taxes if you want.
